Review by hotel critic
I recently had the chance to explore Castelo De Itaipava - Hotel, Eventos E Gastronomia, and while it's a visually stunning place with a magical castle ambiance, my experience was a bit mixed. The rooms were quite comfortable and came equipped with a minibar and flat-screen TV, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the picturesque Serra dos Orgãos National Park nearby. I was sadly kept awake by a child bouncing around above me until 1 AM, despite raising the issue with the receptionist. The hotel does have a delightful restaurant serving honest food, although the prices are on the steeper side, which I suppose is customary for hotel dining. On the upside, the daily buffet breakfast was a highlight, allowing me to fuel up with delicious options before heading out. The outdoor pool area was another great feature, ideal for feeling the vibe of the charming surroundings. If you're seeking a beautifully situated place with good facilities, this hotel has great potential, but be sure to check if kids are staying on your floor!
